Welcome to The Kubo. This home was originally built in 1955 atop a bedrock overlooking the beautiful landscape of Lac-des-Loups in the village of La Peche. The Kubo provides a serene place to unwind, relax and reconnect with nature.

Lac-des-Loups offers all season activities that adults and children alike will both love. In the summer, guests can enjoy hiking, kayaking, swimming and horseback riding nearby. In the winter, popular outdoor activities include skiing, snowshoeing, tubing in Sommet Edelweiss, skating and ice fishing on the lake as well as hiking in Gatineau Park. Guests can also enjoy the rhapsody of color changes in autumn!

The Kubo is designed for couples and families looking for a place to escape. Surrounded by forest and water, guests will surely enjoy nature's beauty. This home sleeps up to 4 guests with each room decorated with a simple neutral color and modern design. Huge pane windows in the living room provide ample natural light and stunning views of the lake. Each bedroom also allows natural light to come through where guests can enjoy the views of the mountain or the snow covered pine trees.

A wood burning fireplace warms the house in the winter as well as baseboard heaters near the windows. Firewood is available for guests and is located in the shed outside. Guests are to refill the wood used before checking out in courtesy to the next coming guests. Ceiling fans are installed in the living room and main bedroom to cool off the heat in the summer months. The Kubo has a fully equipped kitchen with an outdoor BBQ for guests to enjoy in the summer. A walk out deck and screened porch in front of the house offers a relaxed place to enjoy the sounds of nature day and night or simply a quiet place to chill and drink your hot beverage in the morning while watching the sunrise.

Only up to 4 guests with children included will be permitted per booking. Families with children are reminded to take caution when children are outdoors due to the location of the house.
